API 20E boltings are applied to critical Surface and Subsea equipments used in Oil and Gas industry. API-20E specifications implies stringent quality requirements though the complete manufacturing process which infuses reliability and safety into these fasteners. These Alloy and Carbon Steel fasteners are designed to contain huge pressure and to bear the exposure to harsh unforgiving environment. These are categorised into 9 types (Bolting Type A to Bolting Type I). To certify a bolting to the API 20E specifications, qualifications and re-qualifications of the manufacturing process for these bolting is to be performed.
Three bolting specification levels have been defined in API 20E specification. Each bolting specification (BSL1, BSL2, BSL3) is unique due to the extent of quality controls that the bolting manufacturer has to establish. These controls start right from stage of raw material purchase and goes upto the final inspection of the product. Based on the pressure and temperature requirements of the equipment to which these fasteners are being applied to, the level of bolting specification is selected.
The scope of API-20E licence is driven by the quality of material used along with the method imployed to manufacture these fasteners.
NUBOTECK has the capability to fulfull all the requirements of all three bolting specification levels, and so have aquired the licence to apply API monogram to these products. This licence was initially attained in the year 2021. The scope of licence is now expanded to include the products made through hot-working (forging).
Below controls have been established to ensure 100% conformance.
Boltings from NUBOTECK comes with reliability and complete peace of mind. Huge emphasis is laid on the traceability of the material at each step. We provide all the test results on our test certificate as per EN 10204 3.1. Generally produced grades of API-20E are given here. The raw material used to manufacture these is procured from the sources meeting the qualificaton requirements of API 20E and API Q1
